Time
On the 3rd September 2010, we had the opportunity to share with the high school students from Mercy`s college. It was an interesting interactive session that included a presentation on social injustice in the developing country, Uganda. The students were drawn by the level of discrimination against women in most parts of Africa.

Welcome to This Life page!!
Around the world, people are living under different type of situations which compromises their freedom, space, and other horizons of their lives yet they have never had the chance to talk about it. This Life-The Untold Story, is a project designed to create an opportunity for people with unique traumatic experiences in their lives, which they want to share.Meanwhile, some people are forced to leave their homes, families, friends, and land; others do experience difficult circumstances even within their own homes, with friends, families and within their own countries. This Life-The Untold Story; is creating a platform to provide an opportunity for these kinds of experiences to be shared.
This Life, an initiative by Mercy Akongo, is inspired by her own experiences of serving in her community, the Karamoja region, one of the most marginalized region of Uganda. Mercy also had the opportunity to work in the war torn region of northern Uganda through an international humanitarian organization called Cooperazione Internationale (COOPI) where she worked with people who have suffered and experienced fear and terror for over 20 years. By working directly with victims and survivors of war within the internally Displaced Person’s Camp and the rural communities, she came face to face with traumatic experiences that created a burden in her heart to think beyond herself to play a role in helping the poor who are suffering in Africa and elsewhere in the World. This Life-The Untold Story, is her step in helping the world`s poorest by creating opportunities for the helpless, whose stories have never been told.
Feel free to participate and contribute in making a difference in the lives of people who need it.
Thank you.
Yours truly;
Margaret Mercy Akongo
